Fortunately he seems very willing to improve the model right now. It'll probably work out great in the end! :)
I'm currently working with a designer that's suppose to create a model for me.
However I don't feel satisfied with his work, mostly because he's bad at english and therefore it's hard for me to properly communicate with him and tell him what I want him to fix...
How do I cancel an ongoing job? (I don't want him to receive the money that I had to pay when I created the job offer.)
And NO - I haven't received the model yet so this is not a scam attempt!

@filipaaofficial, i can't see where i'm wrong. You said, that you're not satisfied with designer's work "mostly because he's bad at english and therefore it's hard for me to properly communicate with him and tell him what I want him to fix..." and you "doubt he will fix everything before the deadline". It doesn't sound like designer is unable or unwilling to fulfill your requirements or to complete job at all. It looks like you're just tired to try to explain him in a way that he could understand. Is he or she aware at all thatyou're trying to break contract? Does he / she agree to that?
Anyway, i can't tell you how to request for refund, but please let us inform if you'll manage to get ALL your money back. I then will seriously reconsider if i want to participate in future job offerings via cgtrader then.
Just let me know! I know a whole team of artists who really know what they are doing who could help you with your project!
Yes I have a lot of experience recruiting and working with artists from all around the world so I could even help with helping you out as middle man and helping you get your ideas across to him/her.
I still work with some great artists daily and they produce some astonishing work for me... Sadly I am not able to do a whole lot anymore aside from basic fixes and quality control due to lack of time and still recovering from past injuries but I still have time to help with the communication ad HR side of things.
i know how you feel
Well, it doesn't matter that you didn't received model yet, because designer already has worked on your model and spent his time. Either way you and designer both have to come to agreement to cancel job and how money will be split between you. If you try to cancel job solely without designers agreement and get all your money back, that should be treated as scam attempt.
