Client Unresponsive After Completed Prepaid Project – Need Advice

Discussion started by Oussema3D

Hello everyone,

I’m looking for advice regarding an issue I’m facing with a custom project.

I completed a prepaid 3D project, including multiple revisions requested by the client. I also delivered additional work beyond the original scope as requested.

After final delivery, the client said they would review the files (including 3D printing) and asked me to wait 3 days due to holidays starting April 14.

It is now April 21, and the client has not responded to my messages. The project is still open with no confirmation or closure.

I have already contacted support but haven’t received a response yet.

Has anyone experienced something similar?
What would you recommend doing next to ensure the project is properly closed and payment is secured?

Thank you for any guidance.

Hope you got payment upfront. Alwys get payment upfront with clients. I hope you didnt get scammed.

Thought also sometimes clients just take soooo long to respond. Though I would assume the worst here. Basically just keep messaging him untill he responds. If he gave you his socials you can reach him there. Right now youre goal isnt to get him to pay you, its to get him to respond. Once he does, then you can move onto payment.

But if youre already paid, than youre chilling

Don't worry too much, this happens more often than you’d think. Usually, if the client goes MIA (Missing In Action) after the final delivery, support will manually close the project for you after a certain period—often 7 to 14 days. Since you’ve already contacted support, just keep a record of your delivery and the messages. As long as you delivered through the platform, your payment is secured. Most likely, the client is just extended their holiday and being unprofessional about it.

Yes, It happened to me as well. Customers often think that the prepayment directly goes to you, so they are not aware that a project have to be marked as 'finished'.
