Unfortunately GIFs are not supported and they are treated as files here. But there is another option.
You can add videos/3d views from Sketchfab, Vimeo, Verold or Youtube. You can find a place to paste a link from those services while publishing your model, where rendering images are presented. Simply paste a link and video or 3D view will appear on your product page.
