WIP of single passenger submersible

Discussion started by grumpntug

The model has since been finished and the final renders can be found on the product page for it thank you for the comments and feedback as always! Happy trading.

I wanted to make a not too distant future one-man submarine. Still plan on making a rack that it hangs from for it but I did some very rough first pass renders. Long way to go with materials, color, and lighting...

As a 3d model excellent work, but as a design (even a fantasy one) it dose not make sense. According to the hatch the vessel is to small, the front grill thing dose not make any sense, the thruster is all wrong (to many blades and to much metal protection around it), the front is flat which is contra productive, the radar like structure which stick out on the top is something what is used on surface not underwater.

Sorry for critics, but you really did hard work making the model, but you should have researched a little bit about underwater vehicles. I am OK whit being creative, but all in the boundary's of making seance. Designing the car whit some additional wiles on the top is not the best thing to do when you are planing to sell that model.

Fair enough. I've seen plenty of fantasy games and movies as well as worked on some where things don't always make sense. Personally, I think some may accept the less accurate in exchange for something a bit more visually compelling. I could change the front or adjust things to be as real as possible, but I simply don't want real as possible and I think some buyers don't either. If they do want ultra real, that's fine though. If the model is executed well and you like the design then I believe, personally, its a successful model but not everyone is going to like what you do. Just how it goes. If they don't want to buy it, its all good. I stand by the design but completely get what you're saying. If it sells it sells if not, no worries. Thanks for looking and the feedback is always appreciated :) I'll keep your points in mind next model .
