Thundering into the arenas and battlefields of the worldgate networks, the restored/modified mech chassis known as Project Old School has distinguished itself in a short amount of time, defeating opponents with its bold mix of the old and new.

These restored platforms deliver strong service for mercenary armies and defense forces looking to distinguish themselves from the many Quixote and MR-400 clones and variants out there, drawing the admiration of some armor aficionados, the ire of other purists who know the long history of the mech chassis.

Centuries ago, the Shaylaxx Consortium ruled a sizeable number of realms deep in the First Worldgate Network, the iron will of their Supreme Executive enforced by their towering armored forces.

An insidious biological weapon gene-tailored by their mortal enemies, the Sorlan Bioswarm, laid waste to the pilots of the Consortium's mechanized legions, leaving thousands of combat platforms abandoned and buried, useless to the conquering organic horde.

The Sorlan destroyed themselves, years later, in an enormous civil war. New empires now push into their old territory, unearthing large formations of Shaylaxxian armored mechs in various states of ruin. Most are sold for scrap, but select semi-functional examples can still be found.

The Jervis Group, a boutique defense contractor specializing in bespoke combat equipment, recently discovered a large cache of long-abandoned Shaylaxxian mech hulls. These vintage mechs have been refurbished and retrofitted, their shells salvaged and reworked to use Quixote-class weaponry.

For pilots who wish to take advantage of current technology, while standing out from the crowd, Project Old School is a refreshing blast from the past.
