Exact replica of the Kyosho TM7 Spur gear which was standard on the Lazer ZX and ZXR with the slipper clutch drive system. I have tested fitment (Please check accompanying photos)....Make sure if you're directly replacing an original part you reset the meshing of the gearing by adjusting the motor mounting especially if your old one is well worn.I have not tested the strength, i have printed it in Polycarbonate and ASA. Pick a filament that will allow you to put a little teflon grease on it and wont degrade the plastic. Also, a plastic with good abrasion and heat tolerance is preferable.I printed these on a Creality K1 Max and they've come out perfectly. To get the best out of it you need a printer with an enclosure, preferably heated.Print this flat but raised off the bed by about 5mm. Set support ironing and ironing of all top surfaces. I usually adjust the distance from top of support to the bottom of the model to 0.1mm as well, this makes a better finish on the support side. Print it slow otherwise your teeth wont be very good and meshing may be poor.I will upload a video to YouTube shortly that should help to explain how to print all of my Lazer ZX/ZXR files. - https://youtu.be/A3WvQG3Msh0?si=Ly0Qf-x2fp1rYVGSI - As you can see from the red car in these photos, it is entirely possible to 3D print your own Kyosho Lazer ZXR at home and cut your own carbon fibre parts out too if you have a big enough desktop CNC Router.There are some amazing parts also available from Rubrix Racing, I can very strongly recommend checking out their site if you are looking for new machined Lazer parts. They have started releasing these new parts as of April 2026 and are well worth checking out.
