A Journey Through Decades of Ocean Exploration

The DSV Alvin stands as the world's most iconic deep-ocean research submersible, legendary for exploring the Titanic wreckage, discovering hydrothermal vents, and advancing marine science across the globe. This massive high-poly model captures the industrial, awe-inspiring spirit of the famous deep-sea voyager across its most transformative eras. Developed entirely from extensive photographic reference data without relying on blueprints or technical drawings, this kit represents a beautifully executed submersible heavily inspired by Alvin. While deliberate creative liberties were taken to simplify the assembly process and model the sub’s most obscure components, the design remains incredibly versatile. It is engineered to allow builders to reconstruct various configurations of the submarine spanning from 1989 all the way to its post-2013 modernizasyonu and today's current layout. The main hull itself measures a commanding 600mm long, and stretches significantly longer once you attach and extend the highly detailed robotic manipulator arms which are fully included in this pack. It serves as an imposing historical display piece or the ultimate foundation for a functional scale replica.

RC ProjectsDesigned with the 3D printing and RC builder community at its core, this premium package consists of 96 high-poly STL files alongside a comprehensive, full-color 3MF file containing all the necessary components for a seamless multi-material setup. The rugged outer hull is cleverly divided into 6 separate parts, engineered with a varying wall thickness between 2mm and 6mm in most areas, pushing past 10mm along irregular exterior contours to guarantee outstanding structural rigidity. Crucially for RC enthusiasts, the hull form has been clandestinely optimized—smoothing out the traditional boxy frame into a sleeker, more curved hydrodynamic shape to deliver faster underwater speeds and significantly sharper, more stable control. The interior is completely hollowed out, offering generous internal volume for water-tight cylinders (WTC), batteries, and ballast systems. Adaptability is built straight into the design: the top 3 hull segments can be configured to be completely removable or permanently fixed using glue, screws, or magnets. Furthermore, all top 3 hull parts feature separate, dedicated access hatches, complemented by a fully detachable conning tower that conceals the front interior access hatch. Whether you choose to seal it up as a high-fidelity static model or utilize the spacious interior for a radio-controlled build, this kit offers an unmatched, builder-friendly assembly experience. Requires a 25x25x25 print volume in its present size, can be scaled down easily in slicer to fit smaller printers. Hull files are uploaded for preview purposes, all the other files are in the zip archive.
