DESCRIPTION

This is a stl-file of an authentic medieval ankle boot, worn by both men and women, in a style that dates roughly from the 8th to the 13th century. Shoes were made from sturdy leather then and had to withstand some wear and tear, as most of the medieval people were pedestrians and needed footwear that could last for a while. Nevertheless, consumption of footwear was extremely high; for example farmhands and servants had written into their contracts that a part of their salary had to be paid in form of shoes up to 8 pair per year. You can use the model on any of your medieval figures and dioramas within the said time period. I have sculpted it especially for the figurine of a medieval Scandinavian trader and adventurer (otherwise known as Vikings), but you can use it as well on a commoner or a low noble from a later century.
