Quote Wikipedia: Sir Henry Ralph Stanley Birkin, 3rd Baronet (26 July 1896 – 22 June 1933), known asTimBirkin, was a British racing driver, one of theBentley Boysof the 1920s. The Bentley Boys were a group of wealthy British motorists who drove Bentley sports cars to victory in the 1920s and kept the marque's reputation for high performance alive.
This is a 1/24 (75 mm) scale model of Sir Henry Birkin, modelled after photos of him that were shot when he raced at the 1931 24 hours of Le Mans . I designed the figurine as an addition to the successful 1/24 scale model of the Bentley 4,5l Blower that is manufactured by both Revell and Heller; there is also a 1/24 model of the car by Franklin Mint. Henry Birkin is famous for racing the car to a second place at the 1930 French Grand Prix, the only occasion the iconic Bentley Blower was driven to any success on the race track. The figurines relaxed pose will add greatly to any diorama display of a Bentley Blower scale model.
November 7, 24: I am happy to present an alternative version of the model with a leather/fabric racing helmet like the one the original Sir Birkin wears on some photos. I have also redesigned the racing goggles for this version and repaired some minor issues with the shoes. I made the changes a few days ago, but had the model testprinted on two different printers which took some time - I hope this explains the date stamp on the model file which is from 24-10-21. The model comes in a hollow version with 2,5 mm shell thickness and in a solid version. Have fun with the model!

The files include a 75 mm model, separated into three parts without supports, and two versions of a slighty bigger design of the figurine (one with supports, one without), as I discovered that the Heller and Revell scale models are not exactly to 1/24 scale but a little bigger.
The model is designed for resin printing to capture the fine details.
