Step into the world of ancient Rome with this Julius Caesar action figure head in 1/6 scale—with a bold new twist! This model is a resculpt based on a scan of the famous bust from the Farnese collection in the National Archaeological Museum of Naples, bringing the likeness of Caesar to your collection with a fresh, striking expression. While the original bust features a neutral, somewhat detached look, I’ve given Caesar a more intense, grimly determined expression, perfectly capturing the arrogance and pride of a Roman aristocrat. His face reflects both the sharp intellect of a leader and the ruthless ambition of a man who—by the standards of his time and our own—was seen as both a populist and a war criminal; and is nevertheless remembered as one of the greatest military geniuses, a model for daring political maneuvers and the most famous Roman in history.
This model allows you to create an action figure like no other—Julius Caesar, not just as a historic figure, but as a personality full of complexities. The head sculpt is designed for 1/6 scale action figures but can easily be printed in other sizes without losing the intricate detail, offering endless possibilities for collectors, customizers, or anyone wanting to display this historical icon in a bold new way.
With additional heads of Caesar’s contemporaries like Marcus Antonius, Gnaeus Pompeius, and a historically inspired Vercingetorix in the works, your Roman collection is about to get a serious upgrade!
3D printing settingsThis model is designed for 3D printing at a 1/6 scale, but due to its high detail, it can be resized for larger or smaller scales. The head is solid and has a standard action figure neck joint cutout, making it compatible with most 1/6 scale figures or custom designs. The archive also contains a pwscene-file with supports and raft for all of you who own an Anycubic printer and want to save themselves the time for supporting the model on your own.
I recommend using a layer height of 0.05 mm or finer to capture all the facial details, particularly if you’re scaling the model up. A resin printer will yield the best results for smooth, crisp details, but FDM printing is also an option with careful settings. Ensure the neck joint area is tested for fit with your action figure before final assembly.
Bring Julius Caesar’s powerful presence to life on your printer!
