The Panther was one of Germany’s most iconic medium tanks of World War II, it was produced from 1943 to 1945 and was developed in response to the Soviet T-34, it combined firepower, mobility, and cutting edge design inspired from the soviet tank philosophy, most notably its sloped armor, which dramatically increased protection without excessive weight. Panther entered in combat at the Battle of Kursk revealing both its potential and its early mechanical flaws, many of which were corrected in later versions of the tank.Armed with the high-velocity 75mm KwK 42 L/70 gun, the Panther outperformed even the Tiger I in long-range penetration. Though its armor was thinner than the Tiger’s, its angled layout provided comparable frontal defense making it both deadly and resilient.Three main production variants were built: Ausf. D, A, and G. A fourth version , the Ausf. F, featuring a redesigned turret, was developed but never saw combat. This model is a realistic and accurate version of the Panther A design, based in original German and Soviet technical drawings, museum photographs and 3D scans. It is suitable for rendering and 3D printing up to a 1:6 model scale.
