Serious concerns regarding the automated NSFW classification system and its impact on creators

Discussion started by NoneCG

The new automated system implemented by CGTrader for classifying models as NSFW is fundamentally flawed and highly inefficient.

The artificial intelligence consistently fails to accurately categorize content, leading to absurd restrictions. For instance, a model of a turkey (the bird) was flagged as pornographic. Similarly, an asset featuring oranges was classified as NSFW, and standard anatomy, such as adult human arms (no other body parts), has been incorrectly flagged as sexually suggestive. These are just a few examples of AI mismanagement that needlessly complicate the workflow for creators.

Even after a human reviewer manually corrects these errors and reinstates the models, the automated system repeatedly flags the exact same assets—such as the bird model—for sexual content shortly after.

If our livelihood and professional work are going to be governed by an AI prone to such severe hallucinations, maintaining a presence on this platform becomes completely unsustainable.
