Yes thousands of artists get the suspended account problem at Turbosquid... They do it to you without warning or explanation. If I were you I would just ask the CGtrader team to help you do a bulk upload of your models here. that kind of thing does not happen on CGTrader. Save yourself the hassle of working with that low end Turbosquid site.

Yes they did the same to me and would not allow me to download my models from their server. This is a common theme with Turbosquid... That is why it gets so much bad publicity.

On a happier note! Do you want to try a free racing game?

Didn´t knew about this behaviour in TS, this is really unfair, they´re worth his bad reputation.

I'm not a fan of turbosquid, but i find very hard to believe that they pick their sellers at random and locks their accounts just for fun. For sure there has to be some solid reasons for them to do that. Why those sellers later tells horror stories about evil TS and refuses to disclose real reasons of account closure, it's anyone's guess...

Limonadinis is 100 percent correct about the fact that it is not random.

If Turbosquid locks you out of their account even if they do not tell you a reason usually you fall into one of these categories;

1. Your models are not good enough to be on their site because you don't have good skills in 3d modeling or you are still learning.

2. They do not like what you are writing on their blog and are not happy if you complain in any way about their site or would like them to make some changes to promote a better community and allow more people to share in profit.

3. They noticed you have some amazing models they feel they can steal legally from you since you agreed to put them on their site and resell by making some small mods and can sell to 3rd parties.

4. You are undercutting the market by selling lower than they would like you to sell even though they false advertise you can sell at whatever price you want to without limit.

5. They did some research on you personally and they just plain do not want you to be part of their small so called special group, so they black list you and you can never even rejoin their site later.

6. You are doing really well and are taking away to much business from the top group of artists who make the most money on turbosquid.

They will never admit to any of this but these are the real reasons why people get kicked off Turbosquid and why people should never join Turbosquid.

Turbosquid is only for people who have been in the system and have somehow managed to thrive by skill or luck and are doing well there.

Wow indeed, you are a real master of false accusations. I'm not gonna even comment on this, because most of these claims are too ridiculous to be taken seriously. I just want to give you friendly advice - please think twice before throwing such allegations into large company's address publicly, because one day they may found themselves to be pissed enough by your constant attacks against their reputation and may take legal actions against you. I have no doubt that TS is monitoring this forum pretty closely :]

Well some of them I am 100 percent sure about because they happened to me and others have also complained about it on forums in the past.

The others like them stealing models to resell or that they target you personally I have no tangible proof about. Those

are an hypothesis about how they handle things but either way we will never know for sure because they never release that information.

They do not want people to sue them for how they treat their artists. That is also why they write a lot of fine print in their user agreements and force people to become exclusive with them etc... to ensure that whatever happens they have control over the artists and all their work.

It just saddens me every time a hear a new story of an artist that was failed by Turbosquid, got locked out of their account without warning, information or the chance to get their models back from them... Turbosquid has been up and running for so many years! It is about time they start taking better care of their artists.

limonadinis is also right about the fact I should watch out for what I say on the forums. By law whatever is posted on blogs, text messages emails etc... can all be used against you in a court of law.

That is why I was specific in stating that some of the things I said I do not have tangible proof about as opposed to the others which have been well documented on forums and written about by many others.

As far as Turbosquid sewing me... that is a possibility I should watch out for but they are smart business people and they know full well that it is not in their best interest to do so as I would just be a waste of time to them.

What could they possibly gain from sewing a loser, with no influence like me?

I am not out to get them anyway, I just feel the need to warn people who do not know about them about the potential obstacles they may face if they join the site.

To Turbosquid I am nothing more than a piece of mud they brushed off their boots on their way to success.

It would cost them more money to sew me than they would make from me.

Oh, i'm sure that you wouldn't be interesting to them if it's about money, but they may want to make you suffer just to show to others that everyone who dares to damage their reputation will not escape unpunished :]

I will just watch out what I say and avoid making anymore statements against them, after all I know they check the CGTforums.

I have been hurt enough by them I do not want to take anymore damage or be turned into a martyr for them to do what you said.

I am here however to help people who have been hurt by them and need a little help getting back on their feet.

I am creating a new videogame that serves multiple purposes. 1. It is meant to help teach children how to drive and become better members of the driving community. 2. It will help showcase 3D vehicles and demonstrate they are truly low poly and game ready as well as will run on android googleplay app.

If you are interested in the project of featuring your models on it just give me a heads up and we'll see what we can do.

IMHO it's ok to tell everyone that TS has locked your account and you hate them for that, if it's really happened. But by accusing them in stealing without any proof, you're only put yourself in danger. Not to mention that such claims damages your reputation as well :]

You are right Limonadinis. I will not do that anymore. It definitely could hurt my reputation so I am done with that.

In your opinion though why do you think they do that? I have been wondering about this issue for more than 10 years now...

Help me understand why they stop people from getting their own property back from their server?
Do you think they delete the files? If they keep them, then for what purpose?

If you choose to sell your products on amazon or any other respectable store of any kind if the store decided that they are not able to sell your products or want to stop doing business with you, they would return your products.

Your case doesn't surprise me at all. Sadly, this is not the first time that I have heard about the thefs of Turbosquid, or their bad habits. They just do what they want, the moment they want to do it, without warning. I also suffered this from them, but it was a much lighter case. It was at the beginning of being with them, that I made some sales, but they didn't pay me a single dollar, until I wrote to them. They said to me that they made some changes in their payment policy for newcomers, and these were that the first payment would be made 2 months after the first sale. So they may these changes without changing the payment conditions in their website or even notify sellers. So I guess this kind of behaviour is not very strange in TS. I wish you the best of luck and a lot of sales here in CGTrader, clearly a much more ethical company.

I think there are some online converters you can use. Just type online converter and usually you can convert videos and mp4 directly off websites.
