Volunteers needed to help with sensory designs for braille nature signs

Discussion started by spottedsalamandertrail

The Kanawha State Forest Foundation is renovating a wheelchair accessible trail in West Virginia which will soon include guide posts and guide ropes for the blind.

We'd like to add new braille signs with 3-D images, identifying plants and animals, to enhance the hiking experience for our blind guests.

Here's a link to the new nature signs created for our sighted guests: https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B9SJgInazMkpd1NT...

The braille signs don't have to be an exact duplicate, but if you have any designs (stl files) that might match the content of these
signs, we'd love to have permission to use them.

You can track progress on the Spotted Salamander Trail renovation project on Facebook.

Thank you in advance for helping us create a nature trail that's accessible for everyone!
