1/1800th scale Aircraft Carrier Ryujo model. Certain elements not to scale.
The Japanese aircraft carrier Ryūjō was built from 1929–1933 as a single light carrier. She was sunk in 1942 during the Battle of the Eastern Solomons. Her original armament consisted of six twin 127 mm Type 89 dual-purpose mounts and twelve twin 13.2 mm anti-aircraft machine guns, though later rebuilds reduced the number of 127 mm mounts and replaced machine guns with 25 mm Type 96 anti-aircraft weapons. She carried roughly 48 aircraft after reconstruction.
Two versions are included; c.1936 and c.1942.
This is part of my collection of WWII warships.
