1/27
1/1800th scale Aircraft Carrier Hiyo model. Certain elements not to scale.
The Hiyō-class aircraft carriers were built between 1939–1942 and consisted of only two ships, Hiyō and Jun'yō, both originally laid down as luxury ocean liners before conversion for the Imperial Japanese Navy. Two were completed, with one (Hiyō) lost during the war and the other surviving to be scrapped after Japan’s surrender. Their standard armament consisted of twelve 127 mm Type 89 dual-purpose guns in six twin mounts and twenty-four 25 mm Type 96 anti-aircraft guns in eight triple mounts, while later wartime modifications added additional 25 mm mounts and radar. They carried 54 aircraft.
This is part of my collection of WWII warships.
Tested with PLA at .15mm layer height with .4mm nozzle.
