DESCRIPTION

Intended for 3d print.

Danish knight(s), late medieval era. Based on the painting Valdemar Atterdag holding Visby to ransom, 1361 , by Carl Gustaf Hellqvist (signed in 1882). The danish king Atterdag is depicted seated, and the standing warrior is his personal standard bearer. Either can be used as a knight model.

This kit contains model parts allowing you to make one king miniature with a personal standard bearer, and a stepped platform decorated with a royal helm and a small throne (and, optionally, a shield sporting the coat of arms of Denmark). The kit has a number of signifiers relating it to Denmark. See detailed parts list below.Recommended scale is 40 to 54mm scale. You can print the model at 28mm scale, but some details (particularly face and coat of arms) will suffer. Printing at sub-28mm scale may result in model parts being too delicate to print properly. All model parts are prescaled to roughly 54mm scale. Some minor assembly (using glue) is required. See image gallery and detailed list below for further information about model parts.

DETAILED LIST

Kit contains the following model parts:

1 Medieval king seated on a small throne, holding his sword of office. The model is based on king Valdemar Atterdag from the painting Valdemar Atterdag holding Visby to ransom, 1361 , by Carl Gustaf Hellqvist (signed in 1882). Weapons, armor, clothing et cetera are mostly artistic licence on the part of Hellqvist, and should not be considered historically accurate.

1 Standard Bearer. An armored knight wearing an utterly fictional helm. The coat of arms depicted on the banner and shield is that of Denmark from at least 1194 AD and up to modern day.

1 Stepped platform , for the king to sit atop.

1 Cloth-covered helm with a serpent's head decoration. Can be placed on the floor next to the seated king, or anywhere else you desire.

1 Empty throne. Can be placed on the stepped platform if you wish it to be unoccupied, or as furniture in any other circumstance you desire.

1 Shield. One shield decorated with the coat of arm of Denmark. The shield has arm straps. The straps may prevent you from gluing it to a miniature, and should be used primarily in situations when you want the back side of the shield to be visible.

1 Shield. One shield decorated with the coat of arm of Denmark. The shield has the arm straps removed, in order to make gluing the shield to the arm of a miniature easier.

1 Small Round base .
