Industrial Air Cooler HO Scale 1:87 – Modular Factory Equipment – STL for 3D Printing

Add industrial equipment to your HO scale model railroad or factory diorama with this modular air cooler by ScaleFiction3D.

Designed for industrial model railway scenery, the cooler fits alongside factories, steelworks, refineries and chemical plants. Place individual units at ground level or build elevated installations with one to five cooling units.

The model features ventilation details, a separate top cover and support structures with bracing, access ladders and walkways with railings. Different platform lengths let you adapt the installation to the available space on your layout.

3D printing information

STL files for 3D printing. The model and its support structures have been tested with FDM printing. PLA is recommended.

For the FDM top cover, use 0 top layers, 0 bottom layers and approximately 40% Grid infill. The exposed infill creates an open grille.

For open walkway grating, use 0 top layers, 0 bottom layers and approximately 55% Grid infill. Printing with normal solid top and bottom layers produces a closed walkway surface. Apply these settings only to the relevant cover or walkway parts.

An alternative grille cover has openings modeled directly into its geometry for fine-detail printing. The complete model and support structures have not been tested with SLA/resin printing.

Assembly

Choose the support base and matching walkway for your preferred configuration. Print the cooler body and selected cover as many times as required for an installation of one to five units.
