DESCRIPTION

Lady Maria Brâncoveanu (1661-1729), wife of the ruler of Wallachia Constantin Brâncoveanu, represents a model of a Christian woman and mother – strong, balanced and deeply devoted to her family and the Romanian nation. In the working session of July 1, 2025, the Holy Synod of the Romanian Orthodox Church approved the canonization with the title of Saint Lady Maria Brâncoveanu and with honor on August 16.
