These stl files enable you to build a fully working scale model of the 1967 lorry and car ferry named MV Europic Ferry. The files are scaled to 1/96th which will create a model 1370mm long and 200mm wide. They can be reduced in size to build a model at 1/144th scale or increased if you wish to make something rather larger! Obviously the limit is the size of your 3d printer. This was designed for a printer with a base plate of 220mm, although I printed it on a Creality K1 Max .
MV Europic Ferry was built to cross the North Sea in 1967, carrying mainly lorries and some cars from Harwich to Rotterdam. In 1982 she was requistioned by the British goverment and sent as a transport ship to the Falklands carrying a deck cargo of field guns and helicopters and some troops in make shift accomodation. Her large flat deck was used to repair helicopters up to the size of a Chinook (This would be an interesting era to model!)Later she served on a run across the Irish Sea to Larne before being sold to a Cypriot company that built a large superstructure over the upper deck and used her in the Mediterranean.
The model represents her earlier career up to 1982.
She is printed in PETG filament in her entirety and perfomrs extremely well as a RC model, very manouverable and very stable. She is a different and unusual subject and has gained great interest at the model boating pond. Model construction is not difficult
