The Future-Class Offshore Tug is a detailed, 1-meter-long 3D printable model inspired by modern deep-sea support vessels — a true test of skill and patience for advanced makers. This massive, high-resolution STL kit contains 188 individual files (over 100 MB total), each carefully designed for precision and fit. While the model stays faithful to the original vessel’s form, several areas have been modified and optimized for easier printing and smoother assembly. A variety of selectively added accessories further enrich the finished build, ensuring a rewarding and visually impressive result that captures the spirit of a contemporary offshore tug. You can recognise them by their funny names; use them however you like in your build.
Every detail has been planned with practicality in mind: internal screw holes and guidance features help align hull sections while the glue sets, and the upper two or three deck levels can be assembled as a removable hatch — offering easy interior access for those converting it into a remote-controlled version. When fully built, the model can easily exceed 200 parts in total. Each section is sliced to fit on a standard 22×22×25 cm printer bed, making this a challenging yet achievable project that balances engineering precision with creative freedom.
