DESCRIPTION

This is a 3D printable injection mold designed for producing soft plastic lures inspired by the legendary Relax Kopyto — one of the most iconic vibrotails in fishing history, designed by Witold Kowalczyk in the early 1990s . The mold features three identical cavities for efficient small‑batch production and is optimized for FDM printing (Bambu Lab, Prusa, Creality, etc.), while also being compatible with SLA/DLP resin printers.

The Relax Kopyto is characterized by its thick body and characteristic hoof‑shaped tail that creates intense water displacement and vibration even at the slowest retrieve speeds . The lure's design combines a traditional ripper‑style body with the signature Kopyto tail, with the larger sizes (4" and above) specifically engineered for targeting trophy pike and catfish .

Injection Specifications:

Injector diameter: 16mm (compatible with standard hand injectors and small injection machines)

FDM Printing Recommendations:

Layer height: 0.08mm maximum for best surface quality and detail reproduction

Recommended material: PETG or any filament with a higher temperature resistance than PLA (ABS, ASA, Nylon, PET‑CF, PC, etc.)

For large models (over 5 inches / 125mm):

Wall loops (perimeters): 12–15 lines

Top solid layers: 10 layers

Bottom solid layers: 10 layers

Infill density: 10–20% (adjust as needed for strength vs. material usage)

Recommended orientation: cavity side up for best surface quality

Can be printed without supports or with minimal supports depending on orientation

For best results, print with a brim or raft to improve bed adhesion

Mold Features:

Three identical cavities for the 3.7" (approx. 94mm) Kopyto profile

High‑profile shad body design with strong frontal water resistance, creating a seductive rolling action even at minimal retrieve speeds

Long narrow tail section with three distinct notches allowing the tail to move freely and pound aggressively

Massive wide paddle tail in the shape of a hoof (Kopyto in Polish) that creates intense water displacement

Durable, elastic geometry designed to withstand multiple predator attacks

Optimized runner system distributing material evenly to all three cavities

Venting channels along each cavity for air escape during injection

Alignment pins and matching holes for consistent mold closure

Designed for use with hand injectors and small injection machines

Compatible with plastisol, soft PVC, and other soft plastic materials

Thick, durable mold geometry designed for repeated use
