The F-16 version of the ACES II Ejection seat, suitable for 3d printing in larger scales 1/35 and above using the HI version, and for smaller scales, the LO version of the files can be used. The model is provided with or without straps, & with & without mounting rails. The objects are modelled in real world metric size. Scale down to fit your desired scale. Be aware that some slicers use mm, while others CM. You will need to manually enter the correct scale size, preferable using one of the longer dimensions, and setting retain proportions on in the scale dialog.
Model size (with rails): X: 0.54733, Y: 1.35867 , Z: 1.18058 , Model size (without rails): X: 0.54733, Y: 1.35867 , Z: 1.17176
EG A 1/32 seat would be approx 42.46 mm in Y (1.35867 / 32 = 0.0424584)
Scale Settings:Useful settings: For 1/72th, Scale = 1388.888%. For 1/48th, Scale = 2083.333% . For 1/32th, Scale = 3125.000%.For 1/24th, Scale = 4166.666%
How to calculate this percentage for the slicer without knowing the model dimensions. First we know that the model unit is 1m, and has been interpreted by the slicer as 1mm. 1m = 1000mm, so to get the right scale, divide 1000 by your scale. EG 1000 divided by 48 = 20.83333. Now multiply the result by 100 because we need a percentage. The final result is 2083.333 as shown above. All other scales use the same formula.
When printing, it is advised to keep Anti-aliasing low in smaller prints in order to better retain thin parts.
