DESCRIPTION

This is a model of an automotive intercooler. The main role of the intercooler is to reduce the temperature of the hot air compressed by the turbocharger, before it reaches the engine's combustion chamber.It significantly improves the combustion process in turbo-charged systems, thus increasing the engine power effect.As the air is compressed by a turbocharger /supercharger it gets very hot. As its temperature climbs, its oxygen content (density) drops, so by cooling the air, an intercooler allows denser, more oxygen rich air to the engine, allowing more fuel to be burned, thus improving combustion and giving more power.Along with the native Solidworks file, you can also find parasolid, iges and step formats as well as stl, amf and 3mf. Polygon file is also attached. Can be used for 3D printing.
