DESCRIPTION

Following one of my most successful models, the automotive turbocharger, here is the updated version with much more detail in design and in assembly.In details, in this model you will find a redesigned turbocharger, based on an actual one in terms of parts and assembly structure. You will find attached all the separate parts so that you can make a complete assembly of the turbocharger and use it as a decoration, a demostration model or for any other possible use that you may need.

The turbocharger consists of the following parts:

  • Compressor Wheel
  • Turbine Wheel
  • Compressor Housing
  • Compressor Housing Flange
  • Turbine Wheel Housing
  • Turbine Wheel Housing Flange
  • CHRA - Center Housing Rotating Assembly
  • CHRA Backplate
  • Rotating Shaft

The intention of the model is be used directly out of the printer and not requiring any bearings etc. Based on that, the shaft rotation is designed based on the tolerance of the shaft through the CHRA.In addition, there are 2 mounting openings in the CHRA so that you can mount anything that you like, either a base for showcasing the model, or even a motor for making it rotate while standing.This model can be used with my model of an exhaust manifold for assembly and in order to make a complete set of a turbocharger with the exhaust manifold.
