The scale is way off! An example: The scope is 153.90mm tall, but the scope it's based on is about 184.15mm. Is there a scale up setting we are supposed to be using?

Can you be wrong? This blaster is small. Look at the photo .I made it with a picture from this link http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/DH-17_blaster_pistol?file=DH-17_Blaster_DICE.png and here http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/DH-17_blaster_pistol?file=Reptroops-ANH.png and here to http://www.heycomputer.com/hothblaster.jpg

Yes. I have a real single point scope and it measures 184.15mm long. Here is a blueprint based on a real scope. It's in inches. http://img10.deviantart.net/ae85/i/2014/080/1/c/single_point_conical_nose_scope_by_wizardofflight-d7b4t58.jpg

I own a real single point scope. The same scope used in the movie for this blaster. It is 184.15mm long. I'm just trying to help you out.

Thank you. I create models on photos and images. On them it is small about 150 mm. But more this blaster is for sale for more than a year... If you increase it, it will be more than the concept. And it will be very strange

Nice model. Parts are a bit tight, so lots of sanding required. But overall, very nice and solid.
