The FoodPod - 3D Printed Wildlife Feeder 3D print model

I'm posting this at the start of January 2019 and it's definitely getting colder out there. It's at this time of year we need to do our best to help our garden wildlife, because finding food gets a lot harder in the winter months and we all like to give our furry and feathery friends a helping hand at these times. There's already a wildlife feeder in my Etsy store and I'm very happy with it, but I wanted to make something which is a little more versatile and also which could be installed in a wider range of locations around the home and garden. Therefore today I'm introducing The FoodPod!

The pod consists of two halves connected by a docking collar, the lower half having small holes in the bottom to let any rain run out (therefore making sure there's less chance your food will rot) and the upper half with holes in the sides at 120 degrees to each other to let birds, squirrels etc get at the goodness inside. The collar locks the two halves together; firmly but gently rotate the top counter-clockwise and it'll unlock, so you can remove the top and fill it more easily. The bottom has a built in stand which will enable you to site it on a bird table, wall, windowsill or any flat surface and there's a hook on the top section so you can hang it from a tree or a wall hook. If you are sure of where you want to put it and you are sure you don't need the stand, or the hook, ten just don't print them! You could also take the top off and leave it open, acting as a bowl, or you could use it for hamsters, guinea pigs, rats, mice or other small animals to feed and play in. It's here for all our little furries!
