Eucalyptus Globulus: Southern Blue Gum Eucalyptus globulus, commonly known as southern blue gum, is a species of tall, evergreen tree endemic to southeastern Australia. There are four subspecies, each with a different distribution, occurring in New South Wales, Victoria and Tasmania. Southern Blue Gums typically grow to heights of 150 ft, but may sometimes grow as stunted shrubs. Under ideal conditions, they may reach uo to heights of 300 ft. Blue Gum is one of the most extensively planted Eucalyptus, and comprises 65% of all plantation hardwood in Australia.
