You have to do manual work for it to work in blender. You have to set up particle system and weight maps for leaf distribution. Wouldn't recommend purchasing it for a .blend file

You either downloaded the wrong file (.obj maybe), or the particles are hidden for viewport. Test a render (not on viewport). It will probably show up. If not, just tell me and I will take a look into it.
I was created before Blender 2.8.
