VR Car Paint Shop Kit - 27 game-ready auto body refinishing props built for real-time and VR, optimized for Meta Quest standalone headsets. Everything a car paint booth or body shop scene needs, from the air compressor and HVLP spray gun to sandpaper grits, masking, paint mixing, safety gear and a paintable practice hood.
WHAT IS INCLUDED - 27 ITEMS
Spraying: HVLP pro gravity spray gun with air micrometer gauge, mini touch-up spray gun, spray gun stand, air blow gun.
Air supply: 50 L wheeled air compressor (V-twin pump, tank and regulated gauges, power switch), air hose reel on a stand, wall-mounted air filter regulator.
Surface prep: DA orbital sander with hook-and-loop disc, hand sanding block, sandpaper sheets in P80 P180 P320 P600 and P1500, 150 mm 15-hole sanding discs in the same five grits plus their box, three scuff pads, body filler kit (can, hardener tube, three spreaders, mixing board), automotive masking tape (green 19 mm and blue fine line), masking paper roll, wax and grease remover spray bottle.
Mixing: graduated 950 ml mixing cup with 2:1 4:1 and 8:1 ratio columns, paint strainers, paint can set (1 gallon 2K clear coat, 1 quart basecoat, 1 pint hardener), aluminium mixing ratio stick.
Finishing and safety: rotary polisher with waffle foam pad, half-mask paint respirator with twin cartridges, safety goggles, box of nitrile gloves.
Shop: 3-tier rolling tool cart, infrared curing lamp with tilting head and timer, panel stand holding a practice car hood.
BUILT FOR VR AND GAMES
Moving parts are separate objects with the pivot at the real hinge: triggers, gauge needles, wheels, sander and polisher pads, lids, hose reel spool, power switches and the curing lamp head.
Paint in the spray gun cup, mixing cup and basecoat can is a separate object on its own material, ready to tint to the loaded colour.
The practice hood paint face is its own object and material with UVs spanning 0 to 1 for runtime painting.
Each item uses a single texture set, so every prop costs very few draw calls.
Every abrasive is a separate object named by its grit.
A JSON manifest lists grip zones, nozzle positions, pivots, rotation axes and gauge ranges for every item.
TECHNICAL SPECIFICATION
Triangles: 64,918 for the whole kit (measured from the exported GLB files).
Vertices: 64,974.
Objects: 102 mesh objects across 27 items.
Heaviest item: the air compressor at 10,408 triangles. Most hand tools are between 200 and 5,600 triangles.
Real-world scale in metres. Z up in Blender, the GLB and FBX exporters convert for Y-up engines.
Geometry: quads and triangles, with n-gon caps on some flat plates in the .blend. GLB and FBX are triangulated on export.
No rigging, no animation, no cameras or lights.
MATERIALS AND TEXTURES
35 materials across the kit, 1 to 3 per item.
PBR metal roughness workflow: base colour, ORM (ambient occlusion, roughness, metallic) and normal map for each item.
13 items use 2048x2048 maps and the 14 smaller items use 1024x1024 maps.
Hand-authored UVs on every mesh. Repeated parts such as wheels, casters, posts, cartridges and strainers deliberately share texture space.
All labels use a fictional brand.
FILES INCLUDED
GLB with textures embedded, plus README and JSON manifest.
FBX with textures.
OBJ and MTL with textures.
Blender 5.1 .blend with textures packed inside.
glTF with bin and textures.
USDC and USDZ.
STL, PLY and ABC (geometry only).
Every archive keeps each item in its own numbered folder.
ENGINE NOTES
Import FBX or GLB at scale 1. In a URP style pipeline build Lit materials from the maps using smoothness = 1 - roughness. Use simple box or capsule colliders for grabbing. No LODs are included because the props are already light enough for standalone VR.
