DESCRIPTION

Why is it worth buying it? How can it be used?

This Bar Stool is a high resolution with high metal and leather looking details, that can be used in a number of locations within your project, but is specifically designed to suit public and commercial settings like pubs, bars and/or clubs.

This bar stool is based on a number of bar stools viewed during research, with the single leg, foot rest and being quite high to match the height of many public bars, meeting the design requirements I preferred. Another factor in the design was that this specific bar stool was already created for another project, a bar within a food court for my large scale Tennis Stadium (to be uploaded in the first half of 2026), suiting the bar, environment and layout of the design. Within this project, the bar stool works extremely well and suits the environment. I strongly believe this Bar Stool will suit any project and environment with its simple look and design, looking realistic from any angle and setting.

The key to making it this Bar Stool realistic, is to not only have some realistic poly count, but include a number of smaller and less noticeable additions. These additions style using nodes include:

  • Scratches,
  • Bumps/imperfections and
  • Edge Wear

One of the major factors you should buy is that I provide two versions in Blender,

Procedural texturing (using both Metallic BSDF and Principled BSDF with multiple tree nodes) and Baked texturing using 4K baked textures (all in separate folder - see below for more details),

I do this to ensure you have the choice that you feel comfortable with, whether you love the model but want to make small changes to the overall textures using the nodes provided to suit your project needs, or leave the baked textures in place where you can use the model in your project as is.

In addition to this, if you don't have blender, this project contains various project file formats to use in various other 3D Programs and these details can be seen below. .

*How the file system works and what is contained within *

Within the downloadable folder/s, I have included two different blender folders, one indicating its procedural and the other baked.

Within the Procedural Zip Folder (Bar_Stool_Procedural) you will find a file called (Bar_Stool_Procedural) all the textures/materials are included, using a wide variety of procedural nodes. This will mean you can modify any of these nodes, to suit your own preferred taste/style specific to your own project needs. This Blender file will suit any level of experience as the node layout is quite simple and easy to follow.

However, for those who want the ease and comfort of downloading the file without worrying about making changes, all the textures are baked within a separate folder called textures with each texture containing at least 4 different texture layers in 4K (4096 x 4096).

These include:

  • BaseColor
  • Metalness
  • Normal and
  • Roughness
  • AO (Bar Stool Legs only)

Each object/part within this project, their four texture layers (as mentioned above) are contained in their own folder. These objects below are the folder names and include:

  • Bar Stool Legs
  • Foot Rest
  • Foot Support

Each one of these files mentioned above are located in the Texture folders located within the Blender folder called (Bar_Stool_Baked). All of the textures are linked and connected to the relevant allocation of the Principled BSDF Node found in the Blender File (Bar_Stool_Baked). To use correctly just download the texture ZIP file, (included within are separate material/texture folders with the names closely matching to the different objects within the blender/other file).

As well as these two folders which are suited for blender users, I have also contained a separate folder for those who prefer to use other 3D programs. This folder is called Other Files. With this zip folder contains:

  • FBX
  • OBJ
  • GLB (Augmented Reality)
  • STL
  • PLY

No unsupported objects
Unsupported objects:
- Lights
- Cameras

Geometry
No N-gons
N-gons are polygons with five or more sides which might cause issues in certain processes like rendering or animation. Learn more
No faceted geometry
Faceted geometry uses flat surfaces without smoothing, which can look unrealistic on curves.
Learn more
Manifold geometry
Manifold geometry ensures all surfaces are properly connected, avoiding issues like edges shared by more than two faces.

Textures & material
PBR textures
PBR textures simulate how light interacts with materials, making the model look realistic under different lighting.
Required PBR textures:
- Base Color
- Roughness
- Metalness
- Normal

No embed textures
Embedded textures are stored inside the model file, increasing its size and sometimes causing compatibility issues.
Learn more
Square textures
Texture aspect ratio is the width-to-height ratio of a texture. Expected texture aspect ratio: 1:1
Learn more
Power of 2 texture sizes
Textures with dimensions in power of two (e.g. 512x512px, 1024x1024px) are used to optimize performance and memory usage.

Assigned materials
Materials are applied to the 3D model to allow visualize a model's surface properties and appearance.
Learn more
UVs & naming
No UV overlaps
UVs overlap when multiple points on the 3D model's surface are mapped to the same point on the UV island causing texture stretching.
Learn more
UV unwrapped model
A UV unwrapped model means its 3D surface is flattened into 2D space, allowing textures to be applied accurately.
