1/900th scale LN.401 Dive Bomber model. Certain elements not to scale.

The Loire-Nieuport LN.401 was a French carrier-based dive bomber built from 1938–1942 as part of the LN.40 family; 68 aircraft of the LN.401/411 family were built, but only 15 were the carrier-based LN.401s. Heavy combat during the 1940 Battle of France caused severe attrition, with the operating squadrons losing roughly two-thirds of their strength in about a month of fighting. Armament on the LN.401 consisted of two forward-firing 7.5 mm machine guns plus one rear-firing 7.5 mm gun, and it could carry a bomb load including a single 225 kg or ten 15 kg bomb beneath the fuselage.

This model is designed and tested at 1/900th scale, but up-scaling and down-scaling are possible. Since the model is optimized for 1/900th scale, it is not ideal to print larger versions due to a lack of detail. The model has been enlarged along the z axis to allow for better printing and accentuation of detail. The model has also been given thicker elements for strength. The wingspan and overall length are to scale.
