This air filter elbow is designed to fit carburators on a 1979 Yamaha 750 Special (XS750S). The generic after-market filters shown in the picture have an internal diameter that is too small. This causes some ports on Mikuni carburators to be come partially blocked. The elbow is designed to accept the original Yamaha rubber boot, so that the ports act normally.
