Hello. friends, is there any other site where your models are sold much better than in CGrader?

Hi.

No.
For example TurboSquirt even hasn't any categories and tools for non-CG/FX/viz models at all. 3dExport has, but anyway gives no sales. Shapeways looks overcrowded and too complicated (in terms of operationg with Google analytics). And one more important factor: shapeways can't guarantee good quality of jewelry models (in my opinion) especially if model has intricate elements or complex design. Another smaller "marketplaces" for jewelry models looks too poor or even fraudulent (or in better case underdeveloped).
Pretty sad situation :)

...but if somebody knows good sites for jewelry models selling, would be fine to know more about them. Independent on "covidophrenia" CGT strategies and methods of content administration more cuts sales than stimulated them.

I think you are very experienced than me. Can you give me advice on what to do to make my models sell better?

Hi.
Thanks for answering. I also tried to sell some site, but it didn’t work out. :-)

The key is (or better to implement the verb "was") ACTIVITY.

When I uploaded models more or less regularly (one per day or per couple of days), sales were more or less stable and had trend to growth. But since some moment this strategy of regular activity isn't working anymore. I don't know why. May be it's fluctuations of demand on the global 3d-market (coronacrisis, seasonal diarrhea, economic depression... who knows...) May be it's result of flood of suspicious "top designers" that are uploading hundreds of pirated models per day with dumping prices who knows...

Now I have the same low number of sales and the same low income as I'd done nothing. Independent on my activity.

Hi. Thanks for answering. I have a lot of files, but I don’t have time to insert them into CGTrader, but I have time to insert 1 or 2 per day. I also think that coronacrisis interferes with the sale, because this month has sold almost nothing. And most likely I sell models that have a low price, about 4-10$.And how about you? Are expensive files sold?

My "expensive" models are selling overall better than the cheap stuff (i'm talking about "good times" without pandemics). But the main income (i'm calling it "salvation") was from private projects. At this moment private jobs are stopped and I have nothing again. Talking about pricing: in some key moment I decided that dealing with sneaky dirty "bottom feeders" that offers for good and cheap models price less than costs sandwich is exhausting and demotivating me. And I changed my pricing strategy, rised the prices (also I don't want to get for "A-class" job less than some seller of crap is reaching from their 100 times pirated "models" that he sells for 3$)... and I was positively surprised with the result: sales gone way better (of course, the "beautiful" description and number of preview pictures are playing important role)... and after all came covid-19 turmoil. :))))) .... sad....
