Best way to organize sets of pbr textures metallic and specular for a pack.

Discussion started by Udjani

I've made a pack with dozens of objects, each object has 2 texture set, one metallic and one specular and they also have some textures that can be used by both workflows like AO, DirectX and OpenGL normal maps and a mask.

I was thinking about grouping all of the textures with their respective models in one folder, this way i would not need to duplicate the textures that can be used by both workflows. Don't know if this is a good idea and would like to know if you guys can suggest a better way of doing it.

Also, should i have a preview of each object in each folder? got a little confused with the guidelines.

Hey, i end up separating the metallic from the specular in folders and just had duplicated normals and AO in them, the duplicates will not make much of a diffrence unless you have dozens of 4k textures. And i think that is best to upload them separately, having a folder for each, for example: FBX. OBJ. Metallic Workflow. Specular Workflow.
