Ok, so I passed the arch viz test after 3 rounds & accepted my first task about a 2 months later for $20. It was to finish previously unfinished work by someone else. The brief was to amend some geometry and finish a few materials.
No preview images of the unfinished work were given only what the finished model should look like. I estimated it would take between 3-5 hours - it took me nearer 7 hours & I sent in for review. What came back were 7 amends, 2 of which were not briefed in the beginning. Not having the option to re-negotiate the price & having other work to do I had to reject the work back to them & failed the task.
If you're ok with working from low resolution images, extra work being added & 24hr deadlines when they can take up to 2 months to review then try it by all means. It's not in my opinion the freelancing career option advertised on the wildcat home page. Also when tasks appear they are usually taken within a couple of hours, then no more appear for weeks. You would probably be better looking for work in the freelance 3d projects section. There is a slack channel where designers can leave feedback & most of it is designers asking for things to be more efficient, but nothing seems to improve.
