Turn opening a soda can into a pirate adventure!
This is a custom 3D printable can opener featuring a pirate / Straw Hat inspired design, with a detailed sailing ship relief on the main body, a skull-and-crossbones top cover and a contrasting trigger.
The model keeps the practical mechanical opening system while completely changing the exterior aesthetic into a colorful anime pirate-themed collectible.
Simply place the opener over a compatible can, press the trigger and the mechanism lifts the can tab.
COMPATIBILITYDesigned for standard:
330 ml / 33 cl beverage cansApprox. 66 mm can diameterPlease check the diameter of your cans before printing.
PARTSThe model is separated into several printable components:
Main decorated bodyTriggerTop coverInternal mechanismFlexible springOpening hookInternal locking/block componentParts can be printed separately, making multicolor printing possible even without an AMS/MMU system.
REQUIRED HARDWAREYou will need:
1× M4 × 16 mm countersunk screw1× M4 nutNo glue is required for the main mechanism.
RECOMMENDED MATERIALSMain body / cover / triggerPLA, PLA+ or PETG
Spring and opening hookPETG recommended.
PETG provides better flexibility, resistance and smoother movement for the mechanical components.
Avoid matte filament for the moving internal parts when possible.
ASSEMBLYSTEP 1Place the flexible snake-shaped spring and opening hook into their corresponding slots inside the mechanism.
STEP 2Join the two halves of the internal mechanism together, making sure both components remain correctly positioned.
STEP 3Install the mechanism cover in the correct orientation.
STEP 4Insert the M4 nut into its dedicated slot.
STEP 5Insert the M4 × 16 mm countersunk screw and tighten it.
Do not overtighten.
Adjust the screw until the trigger mechanism moves smoothly and returns freely.
STEP 6Slide the assembled mechanism into the main body.
The flexible spring must face toward the bottom of the opener.
STEP 7Check that the end of the spring correctly enters its internal retaining slot inside the body.
Press the trigger several times before using the opener to confirm that the mechanism moves freely.
PRINTING NOTESDesigned for FDM 3D printing.
The decorative details were created as raised geometry rather than texture maps, making the model suitable for physical 3D printing.
For the best visual result, print the body, trigger and top cover in contrasting colors.
Suggested pirate color combination:
Blue main bodyRed triggerYellow/gold top coverWhite / black / red emblem detailsIMPORTANTThis is a 3D printable model.
The screw and nut are not printed parts and must be purchased separately.
Always test the mechanism carefully after assembly before regular use.
This is an unofficial fan-made design created for collectors and 3D printing enthusiasts.

1× M4 × 16 mm countersunk screw1× M4 nutThe screw and nut are not included in the STL files.
AssemblyInsert the flexible spring and opening hook into their respective positions in the internal mechanism.
Join the two halves of the mechanism while keeping the spring and hook correctly seated.
Install the mechanism cover.
Insert the M4 nut into its dedicated slot.
Install the M4 × 16 mm countersunk screw.
Tighten the screw only enough to hold the mechanism securely. Do not overtighten it. The trigger must move freely and return to its original position.
Slide the complete mechanism into the main body with the flexible spring facing toward the bottom of the opener.
Make sure the end of the spring correctly engages with the internal retaining point inside the body.
Press the trigger several times before use to confirm that all moving parts operate smoothly.
Can CompatibilityDesigned for standard beverage cans approximately:
330 ml / 33 clØ66 mm diameterCan dimensions may vary depending on the country and manufacturer, so please check your can dimensions before printing.
Multicolor PrintingThe main decorative components are separated, allowing the model to be printed in different colors.
Suggested color combination:
Main body: BlueTrigger: RedTop cover: YellowDecorative emblem details: White / Black / RedThe model can also be printed without AMS/MMU by printing the separated parts individually.
ImportantBefore using the opener on a can, test the mechanism manually and make sure the hook, spring and trigger move correctly.
For the flexible and mechanical parts, PETG is strongly recommended for improved durability and flexibility.
