Detailed 3D model of an animal cell for FDM 3d printing. The model shows a cross-section (one-quarter cutaway) revealing the nucleus, mitochondria, endoplasmic reticulum, and other organelles. Perfect for 3D printing or educational projects.
This assumes the model will be printed as a whole, without assembly. Printing in a single color takes approximately 5 hours. There are no overhangs. It's recommended to print at a larger scale for better detail. The mesh is very high-poly for a smooth result. In a slicer, you can easily use the Color Painting tool with the Fill (connected same color) function. It is supplied at a smaller scale for compatibility with all Bamboo printers (10x10x10cm). You may want to use a finer layer or a finer nozzle for greater detail. The example is shown for 4 colors; if you have more colors available, you can easily find options online for more beautifully coloring the details. When you load the model into the slicer, it may warn you about non-manifold edges. Don't worry, this won't affect the result; these edges are inside the model and will be hidden during slicing.
