This 3D printable set represents a WW2 refugee handcart, created as a civilian storytelling element for 1:35 scale historical dioramas.
The model is inspired by wartime evacuation and the transport of personal belongings during the Second World War. It fits especially well into ruined streets, bomb-damaged towns, refugee scenes, village environments, civilian columns and other WW2 dioramas where everyday survival and movement are part of the story.
The set is designed to be flexible in use. It includes a fully assembled handcart loaded with luggage and soft goods, an empty assembled handcart, a grouped cargo version, separate individual props, and a disassembled version for easier printing and custom assembly. This allows you to use it either as a ready-made scene element or as a modular prop set for your own composition.
The luggage pieces are intentionally separated in several versions so they can be placed inside the cart, beside it, or elsewhere in the diorama as independent storytelling elements.
Please note that ropes, straps and tie-down elements are intentionally not included as sculpted printable parts. This was done to improve printability and to avoid thin printed restraints that would either become too fragile or too heavy-looking at this scale. For the most realistic final result, these details can be added by the builder after printing using thread, wire, paper strips, foil or similar modelling materials.
The model is designed for 1:35 scale dioramas.
Included files / set contentsThe downloadable pack includes STL and OBJ files. It contains the assembled loaded handcart, the assembled empty handcart, a grouped luggage version, separate individual cargo props, and a disassembled version for easier printing and assembly.
Printing noteDepending on the selected version and print orientation, supports may be needed. The disassembled version is included to make printing and cleanup easier. A resin printer is recommended for the best detail, especially on the wooden structure, wheels and luggage surfaces. Final scaling, hollowing, support placement and assembly method are left to the user’s own workflow.
Scale noteThis model is designed for 1:35 scale dioramas. Final print size may vary depending on your printer and slicer settings, and the model can be rescaled if needed.
