DESCRIPTION

This 3D printable set represents a WW2 refugee wheelbarrow, designed as a storytelling accessory for 1:35 scale historical dioramas.

The model is inspired by civilian evacuation, wartime displacement and the personal belongings carried by refugees during the Second World War. It works well in ruined city scenes, abandoned streets, village roads, evacuation columns, railway station environments or any historical diorama where civilian life and survival are part of the story.

The set includes multiple versions for flexible use. You can print the wheelbarrow fully assembled with luggage, use it empty as a simple wooden wheelbarrow, place the suitcase and fabric bundles separately in your scene, or use the disassembled version for easier printing and custom assembly.

The luggage and bundles are intentionally designed as separate props, allowing you to arrange them freely on the wheelbarrow, on the ground, near a building, beside a vehicle or anywhere else in your diorama.

Please note that ropes, straps and tie-downs are not included as sculpted parts. This was done intentionally to keep the model easier to print and to allow better realism at this scale. For the best result, you can add your own ropes, string, thin wire, paper strips or other scale modelling materials after printing. This gives you more control over the final look and avoids fragile, oversized printed straps.

The model is designed for 1:35 scale dioramas.

Suggested use

This model is suitable for WW2 dioramas, civilian evacuation scenes, refugee columns, ruined city streets, abandoned roads, village scenes, railway station settings, historical displays, storytelling miniatures, military dioramas with civilian elements, Eastern European wartime scenes and 1:35 scale model environments.

Important note about ropes and straps

Ropes and tie-down straps are not included as printed/sculpted parts.

They were intentionally left out to make the model easier and safer to print, especially at 1:35 scale. Thin printed ropes can become too fragile, too thick, or difficult to clean after printing. For a more realistic result, I recommend adding ropes or straps manually using thread, thin wire, masking tape strips, paper, lead foil or similar modelling materials.

This also allows you to secure the luggage exactly the way you want for your own diorama composition.

Scale note

This model is designed for 1:35 scale dioramas.

The final print size may depend on your printer, slicer settings and personal project needs. You can rescale the model if needed.

Printing note

The model may require supports depending on the chosen version, orientation and printer type.

For best results, a resin printer is recommended. Please check the thin wooden frame, handles, wheel, support rods and luggage details before printing. The disassembled version is included to make printing and cleanup easier, especially for fragile parts.

Hollowing, support placement, final scaling and assembly method are left to the user’s preference and printer setup.
