Dumb question for the author, are those support sections the actual scooped out insides of the hollow outer shell of the saucer? Will they slide in and fit without changing the saucer parts? I have to be honest, the saucer sections are nearly paper thin and almost impossible to work with especially after warpage and other factors. Not thick enough. The body and the nacelles are perfect though so the saucer sections being so paper thin leaves be baffled in that regard.
