DESCRIPTION

Good morning all,

I offer you my version of Tintin's submarine.

The model is available in two different sizes 50cm and 1m.

Being a big fan of tintin since my youngest age, I wanted to make a large submarine, with as much detail as possible.

In order to be accessible to the majority of commercial machines such as the Prusa Mk3, the Ultimaker 2 or the Ender-3, for example, the submarine is divided into several modules not exceeding 200x200x200mm.

For the fun side and to avoid painting I chose to cut the submarine according to the colors.

The top (black) and bottom (white) modules have mounting studs forming sections. The different sections are to be assembled together using round connectors. Some small parts (when too small) have a hole to allow the use of 1.75mm filament as a connector.

For the 50cm model, the dashboard switch being too small I drilled holes to replace them with a piece of 3D filament.

The complete assembly requires the use of glue.

Every detail has been designed so that it can be printed easily with a Ø0.4mm nozzle, I have done everything to reduce excessive overhangs. The .stl files are already oriented to get the best possible result when printing.

►Edit 07/08/20, Modification of some part to improve their quality during printing, addition of 3 different canopies, a hollow structure, a solid, a cut structure + pdf to cut the windows in transparent plastic of 0.2mm (back cover sheet type).

►Edit of 09/12/20, correction of two errors in the last two files of the fuselage, which prevented the installation of the horizontal and bottom fins of the shark

►Edit of 01/10/21, Final version, improvement of the dashboard as well as the steering wheel / handlebar to correspond to the cartoon of 1991, minor modification of the dorsal fin, modification of one of the canopy variants which was too thin.

►Edit From 01/11/21, Finished project, 100% printable model, I added the molds to make the thermoforming canopies, as well as the size 50Cm model.

Warning:This is a fan-representation from the animated series Les Aventure de Tintin from 1991.

Also don't forget to post your achievements, don't hesitate to contact me if necessary.
