Strongback Stand For Falcon

Strongback Stand For Falcon 3D print model

Description

The T.E.L (Transporter, erector, launcher) aka Strongback. DESIGNED TO HOLD MY FALCON HEAVY & FREE FALCON 9 MODEL.

I designed this highly detailed and functional model to be easy and satisfying to build, while also being a strong and accurate replica. No screws, glue or hardware are required to build it. I refined and tested each part until I was happy that they were satisfying to assemble. It has functional clamps that lock into holes pre-designed into my Falcon Heavy & Falcon 9 rockets.

Included in this package: 1 - Full T.E.L with functional clamps, upper gripper arms, base, catwalk, stairs, and space for electronics. 2 - Transport vehicles (T800 pushback tractor) & Rail carriages. 3 - Desktop display version with updated and improved dragon and trunk. 4 - OBJ, STL, FBX and 3ds Max formats. 5 - Easy to follow Illustrated instructional PDF.

Details: - Approx. print time - 80 hours - Height - 858mm - 33.7795 inches - Height with Falcon Heavy = 1023mm - 40.2755 inches - Height with Falcon 9 = 913mm - 35.9448 inches - Width = 437mm - 17.2047 inches - Depth = 256mm - 10.0787 inches - Total weight @ 10% infill = 1.4kgs - 3.08 pounds - Tower weight @ 10% infill = 800g - 1.76 pounds - Base weight @ 10% infill = 600g - 1.32 pounds - Design time = +-5 months

This is an incredibly detailed model, but that should not intimidate you, I designed it to be simple and the illustrated instructions show each step clearly and simply for anyone to follow. I have made space and mounts for Arduino UNO and Raspberry Pi should you wish to add lighting, smoke device or electronics of some kind, and I have made it hollow to allow for wiring.

This is the perfect addition to complete your rocket display. Whether you wish to display it vertically on the base, or horizontally with the transport vehicles, you will not be disappointed.

Although I have tested this model, I am happy to assist if any issues are found. Enjoy! :o)

P.S. - N.B. Send me a photo of your completed (Ants in Africa) Falcon Heavy to be entered into a competition to win this model. I will announce the winners at the end of my next full build video. Photo's sent previously will automatically be included in the competition, but new photos may improve your chances. ;o) Shhhhh... This is a secret competition.
