DESCRIPTION

A detailed model of the Royal Caribbean International ship Odyssey Of The Seas, optimized for 1/1.250 resin printing but very easily printable at larger or smaller scales.

On February 11, 2011, the shipping company Royal Caribbean ordered the first ship of the class with delivery in autumn 2014 under the project name Sunshine, an option for a sister ship with delivery in spring 2015 was also agreed. On February 29, 2012, this order was converted to a firm order. Both ships were delivered in October 2014 and April 2015 respectively

In May 2013, the order for a third ship was announced for delivery in mid-2016, and an option for a fourth ship was also agreed. It is named Ovation of the Seas. The third ship in the class, the Ovation of the Seas, was delivered in April 2016.

In 2015, the option for a fourth ship was converted into a firm order, with delivery scheduled for spring 2019. It was delivered to the customer on April 11, 2019 at the Columbuskaje in Bremerhaven.

In the fall of 2015, a fifth ship of the class, the Odyssey of the Seas, was ordered for delivery in the fall of 2020. In the course of the corona pandemic, the delivery was postponed to 2021. Construction began on February 2, 2019. The keel-laying took place on May 3, 2019 at the Neptun Werft, where a 140 meter long engine room module was built and in August/September 2019 it was transferred to the Meyer Werft by swimming. As part of the Meyer Werft construction strategy, a 140-meter-long megablock was undocked on November 15, 2019 and docked again in February 2020 after the Iona had undocked. The ship left the building dock at Meyer Werft on November 28, 2020. The transfer to Eemshaven took place on 27/28. February 2021, before the Odyssey of the Seas was delivered in Bremerhaven on March 31, 2021. On June 4, 2021, the ship arrived in Port Canaveral, Florida. A COVID-19 test carried out a week later showed that six crew members were infected. The 1,400 crew members were quarantined. The maiden voyage scheduled to begin on July 3, 2021 has been postponed to July 31, 2021.
