1/16
1/1800th scale Weser Aircraft Carrier model. Certain elements not to scale.
The German Aircraft Carrier Weser was a planned conversion of the Admiral Hipper-class heavy cruiser Seydlitz in 1942–1943 into an auxiliary aircraft carrier, after about 95% completion as a cruiser. In this conversion, most of her superstructure was removed and she was to be fitted with a flight deck, hangar, and an air group of about 10 Bf 109T fighters and 10 Ju 87 dive bombers; her planned carrier armament would have centered on heavy anti-aircraft guns (10.5 cm, 37 mm, and 20 mm weapons). Conversion was abandoned in 1943, and she was later moved and scuttled at Königsberg in 1945 as the Soviets advanced.
