1/13
1/1800th scale Mogador class destroyer model. Certain elements not to scale.
The Mogador-class destroyers were French large destroyers (contre-torpilleurs) built from 1935–1939 as high-speed scouts for the French battle fleet. Six ships were planned, but only two (Mogador and Volta) were completed, and both were scuttled at Toulon in 1942. Their armament was unusually heavy for destroyers: eight 138.6 mm guns in four twin mounts, two 37 mm anti-aircraft guns, twin 13.2 mm machine guns, ten 550 mm torpedo tubes (two triple and two twin mounts), depth charges, and up to 40 mines. Their firepower approached that of some light cruisers while still retaining destroyer-level speed.
This model is designed and tested at 1/1800th scale, but up-scaling and down-scaling are possible. Since the model is optimized for 1/1800th scale, it is not ideal to print larger versions due to a lack of detail. The gun barrels and mast have been enlarged.
This is part of my collection of WWII warships, keep an eye out for more to come. If you have a specific request, message me and I'll bump it up my list.
Update 13 Aug 19: Added boats and anchor chains. Adjustments for better printability.
Tested with PLA at .08mm layer height with .4mm nozzle.
