1/15
1/1800th scale Java Class Cruiser model. Certain elements not to scale.
The Java-class cruisers were Dutch light cruisers built between 1916–1926 to defend the Dutch East Indies against Japanese expansion. Three ships were planned, but only two (Java and Sumatra) were completed while Celebes was cancelled; both completed ships were ultimately lost during World War II. Their armament consisted of ten 150 mm guns in single mounts, anti-aircraft guns that changed during refits (with Java later receiving Bofors 40 mm guns), machine guns, mines, and two floatplanes. By the time they entered service, long construction delays caused by World War I had already made the design somewhat outdated.
This model is designed and tested at 1/1800th scale, but up-scaling and down-scaling are possible. Since the model is optimized for 1/1800th scale, it is not ideal to print larger versions due to a lack of detail. The gun barrels and mast have been enlarged.
This is part of my collection of WWII warships, keep an eye out for more to come. If you have a specific request, message me and I'll bump it up my list.
Tested with PLA at .1mm layer height with .4mm nozzle.
