DESCRIPTION

The **ATR 72 **is a twin-engine turboprop airliner developed by the Franco-Italian manufacturer ATR (a joint venture between Airbus and Leonardo). It is the big brother of the ATR 42, stretched by several meters to accommodate more passengers.Why is it so popular?Fuel Efficiency: On flights shorter than 500 km (about 300 miles), it consumes significantly less fuel than a jet, making it the preferred choice for eco-conscious and cost-effective regional travel.Short Runway Capability: It is designed to take off and land on short or even unpaved runways where larger jets simply cannot operate.Capacity: It typically carries between 70 and 78 passengers.
