DESCRIPTION

Based on The Mote in God's Eye by Larry Niven and Jerry Pournelle, this is my personal interpretation of the INSS MacArthur, crafted strictly from the descriptions in the original novel. Excluding all concept art and other discussions external to the book, I have attempted to visualize what the MacArthur would look like if the description in the book was the only thing that existed. (That means this doesn't look like the Leif Ericson.)

I have intentionally split up the parts with an eye towards making painting and lighting easier, and to hide the seams as much as possible. I recommend printing in resin for best results. The included renders showcase a suggested paint scheme, but feel free to make it your own. The paint scheme was never described in the book, so there's room for interpretation.

As always, I welcome your feedback and suggestions for revisions or improvements. This model will be updated to reflect refinements and enhancements. Don't miss my future models on patreon.com/modelprint
