FDM Printing RecommendationsThis model is designed and tested for FDM printing only.Recommended settings:• Printer: FDM• Test printer: Bambu Lab P1S• Material: PLA• Nozzle: 0.4 mm• Layer height: 0.2 mm• Print bed: minimum 226 × 226 mm• Print the individual sections according to their intended orientation.The 226 × 226 mm footprint was deliberately chosen to make the model suitable for many common consumer FDM printers, including printers such as the Bambu Lab P1S.Grated Platforms and StairsThe staircase and grated floor elements can optionally be printed without solid top and bottom layers.Using:• Grid infill• approx. 60% infill density• 0 top layers• 0 bottom layerscan create a convincing open-grid appearance.The STL geometry itself contains these floors and steps as solid surfaces. The open-grid appearance is created by the slicer through the recommended printing settings.Some experimentation with the exact infill density and slicer settings is recommended to achieve the appearance you prefer.Only FDM printing has been tested with this model. SLA/resin printing has not been tested and is not guaranteed.

AssemblyThe modular construction makes assembly straightforward.Only two parts need to be glued together for the basic assembly.Please note that the spiral staircase must be loaded and printed together with the upper sphere half, as it is designed as part of this section.The remaining components are designed to fit together with minimal assembly effort.

Painting & Weathering RecommendationFor a realistic industrial appearance:

1. Prime the model in silver or grey.
2. Apply the main industrial color according to your preferred prototype.
3. Add rust effects around structural joints, edges, supports and exposed metal.
4. Use darker tones and vertical streaks to reproduce accumulated dirt and weathering.
5.
